Best and safest website to get my Credit Report (Free Credit Report) and score?
Question by Judy Y: Best and safest website to get my Credit Report (Free Credit Report) and score?
I am searching for a safe and protected site to go online and get my Credit Report (Free Credit Report) and credit score. My daughters girlfriend told her about creditkarma.com for the credit score and Annualcreditreport.com for the report. Does anyone know if these sites are safe and accurate?

www.annualcreditreport.com is the official site that is really “free”.
Just go to the bottom of the screen and click on the “no thank you, I just want my free report” box.
The FICO score is not free but you can buy it at the same site.

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp is the only FREE credit report site. All others charge a monthly monitoring fee. FICO scores are not free. They have to be purchased.
I tried to create an account with CreditKarma. The terms of use leads me to believe that you will start receiving a bunch of spam and other junk e-mails relating to your credit profiles. Approach with caution.
The website http://www.annualcreditreport.com is safe and free for the report.
The creditkarma website is new. I have not anything bad about it (yet), but it is too early to be sure.
Keep in mind that scores are completely arbitrary. Each company has its own formula. Your creditkarma score will not be the same as your score elsewhere.
If you don’t mind paying a fee, the only place to get your score and your report safely is @ http://www.myfico.com/Default.aspx
annualcreditreport.com only provides free credit reports and that is once a year, no score is free there.
You are entitled to a free report from all three of the major reporting agencies, every year.

Yes they are, I checked them out after reading this http://www.ehow.com/how_4804639_credit-monitoring.html
